This was the start of ADREEAM's creation. Then Hands Up Sports wanted to expose the inner city children of Kansas City to NBA level Skills Camps. A D.R.E.E.A.M. Foundation main focus is community involvement and providing positive role models to the youths. We want to give back to the community by providing free sport, and speed and agility camps; while providing a mentorship program that teaches student athletes leadership skills, using proven principles of athletic success, finally, showing how it translates to being successful in life. ADREEAM Foundation Brings Willard Pugh to PASEO ARTS Festival 2016
Kansas City, Missouri- Friday, May 6, 2016- The A.D.R.E.E.A.M Foundation has partnered with the Paseo Academy of Fine Performing Arts and the Kansas City Missouri School District for the 3rd annual Arts On the Hill: Spring Arts Festival. Special Wilard Pugh, actor (Color Purple), director, and writer.
Life, Health, & Fitness Basketball Clinic - Date: May 23-25, 2016 - Place: Isabela, Puerto Rico
The A D.R.E.E.A.M. Foundation has established various youth basketball programs around the United States, since 2012. The purpose of these programs is to provide the key fundamental elements of the game of basketball coupled with essential life skills development for all campers. This program will provide a safe structured learning environment for at-risk youth, by educating each participant through camps and training sessions.
2016 3rd Annual Arts On the Hill (featuring) Willard Pugh (Color Purple)
Kansas City, Missouri- Friday, May 6, 2016- The A.D.R.E.E.A.M Foundation has partnered with the Paseo Academy of Fine Performing Arts and the Kansas City Missouri School District for the 3rd annual Arts On the Hill: Spring Arts Festival, May 6, 2016: 1pm to 6 pm/ Evening Concert- 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
This festival is celebrating and promoting healthy living and life choices through the love for performing arts, education, and community support; allowing the students of the Paseo Academy of Fine Performing Arts to showcase their various talents in these genres (e.g. artists, singers, musicians, dancers, writers). The art festival will have up to 600 kids in attendance, along with numerous community officials, partners, businesses, local artists, and alumni; along with performances, art exhibits, and corporate sponsored booths.
This event will conclude with an evening concert featuring nationally recognized recording artists and talented alumni, along with special guest, Willard Pugh serving as the master of ceremony.
ADREEAM Foundation Presents: The 1st Annual Outside Borders With Change: Basketball & Life Skills Camp
Date: May 23-25, 2016
Place: Isabela, Puerto Rico
Age Groups: 7 -19 years
Number of campers attending: 300- from Isabela and 9 surrounding townships; (Mayaguez, Anasco, Aguada, Moca, San Sebastian, Quebradillas, Camuy, Hatillo, Arecibo).
To teach, develop, and improve overall basketball fundamentals.
Increase overall basketball knowledge and terminology.
To improve an athlete’s overall self-confidence on and off the court.
Teach the importance of health, nutrition, and fitness and how it relates to performance improvement.
Provide speed, agility, and strength training.
Encourage the importance of athletic and academic success and how it translates to overall life success.
Help create recruiting opportunities for athletes to earn scholarships to attend college and play athletics.
